it’s about have the willpower to be who we are.
i did the song about the 3 parts of the film: beat fear, courage, and willpower.
i have to beat fear, have courage and the willpower to follow what is in my heart.
it is to express myself artistically with the intent to share… Hopefully it can bring you something of value.
i’m getting to a place where i’m combining the visuals and the music. it’s been a long time coming. it’s been since i was like 6 years old living in new york city that it became clear to me that hip hop was who i was. it was probably before that, but i was not conscious of it until i was living hip hop in new york around 1982, 1983. yeah, right at the heart of a beautiful start. i am so happy to be of what i consider an absolutely beyond amazing hip hop generation. to keep it short, this piece is another step in my evolution as a living being. it is made for you. yes, for you. if you feel down, watch and listen to it. if you feel like everybody is against you, bump it loud! if you are going through hell, watch it relentlessly. nothing can stop us but ourselves. so let’s be the amazing people that we are and do what we love everyday of our lives instead of slaving for the few that enslave the planet.
